My Point Exactly

Stippling...My Eyes!

If you're looking for a great way to go cross eyed, well then there sally, you just might want to try your hand at stippling! The "dotty" exibit above is my first attempt at this artform. It's not done yet...and there is a reason for that. Although, poking your pen on a piece of paper in a masochistic sort of way may seem like a fun exercise, I have learned that it is better to be done in moderation! Why? Well, I think it was maybe my 11766th dot or perhaps the 11767th but it was then that I noticed my vision in my right eye start to blur! It was time for a break!!
Although it's hard on the eyes, "stippling" is alot of fun and the outcome can be quite pleasing, once you get there, that is! I've seen some examples that even look like they're a black and white photo!! If you haven't tried stippling, why not give it a try?!! Just remember to take a break every once and a while.

Amazing work. For a first attempt I'd say you have it down pat. I have tried stippling and I do not have the patience for it but love the effect it gives. Well done.

I didn't realize that stippling was that difficult to do. I think you are right though, after about an hour of it, you could easily go cross-eyed. You have done a marvelous job with detail and shading on yours.

So, here I am finally....sorry I am not the first to comment honey!

I always love it when you go crazy and your eyes bug out! lol

No seriously...it is so much fun to share art with you..and to watch you create and draw and I love that I get the inside scoop on all that creative energy and activity!

You should seriously keep a journal, I've only been telling you that for years now....about 16 years, to be exact!
